Noah Settles, 22, also known as “No Savage”, was accused of firing multiple shots in the mall on Wednesday night, June 22. He live-streamed as he turned himself over to the police shortly after the incident.
Settles faces charges of attempted malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and other related offenses.
The Fairfax County’s Commonwealth Attorney Steve Descano told the court that Settles is recognized as the leader of a prominent gang and his bail was denied because of the severity behind this case.
Settles got into an argument with a group of men on the second floor of the Tysons Corner Center mall around 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, police said. Moments later, he pulled out a handgun and fired three shots, causing chaos inside the busy shopping center.
Settles live-streamed his arrest and said little as he walked through the building flanked by family and friends, only making the sign of the cross and a heart with his hands.
Settles’ attorney denies any gang involvement, but told the court that Settles felt threatened and fired his weapon to protect himself.
The rapper’s next court date is Aug. 15, 2022.
